Pink, Gray, and Turquoise

Today I was going out and I wanted to wear something bright and different since I tend to stick to more neutral colors, so I decided to wear my new maxi skirt  and a this turquoise top (I’m not exactly sure what color it is).

For me the easiest way to tie an outfit together is with jewelry so I put on a silver necklace, my silver studs, and since my sandals had bits of silver (you can’t really see it in the pictures) it was perfect!

Thanks for reading! Do you wear brighter colors or do you (like me) tend to stick to neutrals? Comment!

Sunday Style #8

Yesterday I caught up and the outfit I had originally picked out the night before wasn’t working, I tried on a couple outfits until I settled on this one. I’m glad I decided to wear this outfit because I can kill two birds with one stone by posting a Sunday Style and showing you the other maxi skirt I got.

I really like wearing maxi skirts on Sunday because they are super comfortable and really easy to dress up.

My dad gave me this necklace about a week ago and it’s my new favorite necklace!

This Sunday was really great, we had a family from Brazil visit and they told us that they had been listening to my dad’s messages online. So yeah, it was really cool to meet them!

Sunday Style #7

Sorry I haven’t done a Sunday Style post in a while, I don’t really have any excuse.

I was feeling pretty uninspired yesterday morning, but I feel like I was able to match my jewelry pretty good. I like this outfit but I think it would be a lot better with a belt. Unfortunately I don’t have any that would go with this particular outfit. A black belt would look nice with this but mine is falling apart. 😦

Yet Another Maxi Skirt

Yesterday I was out at a mall with my family and I found a great sale on maxi skirts (10$ for one) so I bought a couple and here’s one.

This one is my favorite of the two, the other one is just black and gray. I really wanted to get a colorful one because I have to many gray and black things… so I got this one which still has gray in it but pink stripes is better then say white or black! 🙂

I love this skirt so much! I like having pieces of clothes that can provide a pop of color to my outfit! It can be anything from a skirt, to a necklace. Just something to turn a boring outfit into a less boring outfit. 😀

My “choker” is actually a silver chain I had and I just put it to fit around my neck like a choker. Have you ever done anything like that?

OOTD \\ How to get dye out of clothes

Nothing really special happened today except I finally remembered to take pictures of my outfit for a post. 😀

I was looking though my closet wondering what skirt to wear, I saw this one and I remembered how much I liked it so I decided to wear it. 😉  It’s one of those days I don’t have to wear shoes! 😀

The other thing I wanted to include in this post is a cleaning hack\stain removal I learned this week. My sister got a new (pink) skirt recently and I forgot to wash it separately so pink dye got on not everything but a few things like one of my favorite dressy tops, my brother’s white t-shirts, and my other brother’s church pants. oh and they also went though the dryer which usually sets a stain!

Obviously I wasn’t happy, I mean common that’s one of my favorite tops! I went online and Googled my problem, the first thing I found was something saying I should buy this “wonder” product, I’m a “take action now while I’m thinking about it” kinda girl so I kept looking. There was pretty much only one other thing I tried to and it didn’t work…. So I grabbed a bowl filled it with hot water, added some vinegar and soaked my shirt really well and wrung it out. I did this three times and I could see the dye coming out. I then simply hung it on the clothes line and waited to see if all the dye had come out and it had! I did the same thing for my brothers stuff and it worked as well.

So yeah if that ever happens to you at least try doing that.
